The Role
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Enterprise Architect to join our growing Strategic Pursuit team in the APAC region. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that blends deep technical expertise with strategic business insight. You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, helping them align technology investments with business outcomes and transformation goals.

As a recognized expert and thought leader in digital transformation, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and networking, you will lead discovery workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and requirements analysis to uncover unique customer needs and define tailored solutions. Your ability to map technology to business goals and present confidently to executive audiences will be critical to success.

This role will collaborate closely across Lumen's Sales and Product organizations to identify strategic target accounts, map out key stakeholders in those target accounts to build the relationship, understand their business challenges and define the fit-for-purpose solution.

The Main Responsibilities
Strategic Engagement & Solution Leadership

  • Lead executive-level conversations with customers to understand their business priorities, challenges, transformation objectives and to identify their 'problem statement'.
  • Design and articulate end-to-end architectures that span infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and application domains.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, technical deep dives, and lead whiteboarding sessions to uncover customer needs and define tailored solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders by demonstrating thought leadership, credibility, and a deep understanding of industry trends.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to shape strategic pursuits and influence product direction.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, panels, and executive briefings to share insights and best practices.

Pre-Sales Support

  • Provide strategic and expert technical guidance to the sales team in qualifying complex opportunities and developing winning proposals.
  • Conduct solution demonstrations and technical deep dives for strategic prospective customers.
  • Lead the development of complex solution architectures and proposals for strategic pursuits.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless solution implementation.

Mentorship & Training

  • Mentor and coach junior members of the pre-sales and solution architecture teams.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the team.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Contribute to the development of the pre-sales strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key technology partners.

Influencer & Regional Advocate

  • Represent the APAC region as an influencer and thought leader within the global solution architecture and product management community.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to share best practices, insights, and lessons learned.
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of the APAC region within the global organization.
  • Replicate successes across the Route-to-Market (RTM) channels.

What We Look For In a Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution consulting, or technical pre-sales roles.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence C-level executives and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to map technology capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in infrastructure design, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, application architecture, and managed services.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or ITSM frameworks and operational models.
  • Experience working with, or designing for Security Operations Centers (SOC), including threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working in or with large enterprises across APAC markets.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation frameworks and enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and closing complex deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Industry certifications relevant to the area of expertise (e.g., CISSP, Cisco CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.) are highly desirable.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in strategic pursuits or complex deal shaping.
  • Background in consulting or advisory roles.
