We're looking for a skilled Identity Architect to provide architectural leadership across enterprise-scale projects; from early-stage design through to delivery. You'll influence key identity decisions, shape technical direction, and ensure alignment with security and architectural standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide identity and access management (IAM) expertise across major programs, ensuring architecture aligns with enterprise standards and strategy.
  • Develop high-level identity solution architectures that address authentication, authorisation, and federation requirements across diverse identity categories (employee, business, and customer).
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, with hands-on input into SailPoint, CyberArk, Auth0, Entra, and Active Directory integrations.
  • Guide projects through architecture governance, preparing and presenting key design decisions, risks, and issues for endorsement.
  • Support RFI/RFP processes, proof-of-concepts, and technical evaluations to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Partner with project and service delivery teams to embed secure identity patterns and ensure consistency across systems.
  • Contribute to the development of identity architecture patterns and standards, strengthening overall enterprise identity maturity.
  • Update architecture repositories and impact models to reflect system interdependencies and integration points.

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive project experience with at least 5 years in identity or security architecture.
  • Deep understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, WIF, federation, token handling, RBAC, and modern identity standards.
  • Proven experience integrating applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across business, cyber, and delivery teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA or equivalent are advantageous.
  • A track record of working within large, complex identity ecosystems and navigating competing cybersecurity obligations.
