We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our team for an initial 4 month contract with a view to extend. this position will focus on reviewing architectural artefacts and providing architecture governance within the government sector across HL7 and FHIR related systems

Typical Duties Include

  • Design scalable, secure, and interoperable solution architectures aligned with health standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Review and validate technical deliverables from internal teams and external vendors
  • Present solution options to senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Support agile delivery teams with architectural guidance and governance
  • Identif opportunities for innovation and recommending emerging technologies
  • Ensure integration best practices across APIs, messaging formats, and service design
  • Oversee data architecture and analytics platforms including Azure SQL, ADF, DataBricks, and PowerBI
  • Provide architectural assurance across security, identity management, and cloud infrastructure

Key Selection Criteria

Mandatory:

  • Experienced with Solution Architecture
  • Deep knowledge of HL7 and FHIR protocols

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience in cloud architecture, especially Microsoft Azure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Expertise in Reporting & Analytics, BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.), and Microsoft data stack
  • Integration experience (SOAP, REST, JSON/XML, API design)
  • Security, identity management, and innovation mindset
