Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Design and Technologies Teacher to join our team on-site at our campus in Calen, QLD. The teacher will create and deliver engaging lesson plans, facilitate hands-on learning opportunities, and develop students' skills in design thinking and technology use. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, and actively participating in school activities, events, and meetings. As part of the role, collaboration with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum will be essential.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in teaching Design and Technologies, including practical and theoretical components
- Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and student assessment skills
- Familiarity with innovative teaching strategies and technology integration in education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, staff, and the broader school community
- Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the appropriate teaching authority
- Demonstrated ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking skills in students
