About the role
Growing a portfolio of customers and working closely with them, you are challenged to develop your customer base and identify new opportunities. Working with a supportive and talented team, you will have the opportunities to learn and develop your personal growth. There will be regular interstate travel and training.
Role responsibilities include:
- Constantly growing and developing new business and customers
- Build close working relationships with customers to produce profitable results
- Managing existing customers and their needs with regular monthly orders
- Managing sales volume growth as well as profitability
- Visiting customers regularly to understand their business and be able to serve them best
- Develop understanding of products offered and various applications
- Managing stock to avoid ageing stock and stock out issues
- Following up payments each month and ensure up to date
- Sharing market and technical information with the sales team
- Managing and resolving customer complaints and product quality issues that arise
What we are looking for
A person who thrives in sales and developing business. Loves a competitive and busy environment, and plenty of people interaction. A tertiary degree in Chemical Engineering or Science is advantageous in understanding the products and customers' manufacturing processes. 3-5 years' experience in front line B2B sales or technical sales role would be helpful, and a strong record in identifying and growing new business opportunities.
