Are you passionate about building resilient, scalable data platforms? Do you thrive in high-impact environments where automation, reliability, and uptime are critical? At NOVON, we are looking for an AWS Data Platform Engineer to join our team.

This is a pivotal role where you'll combine DevOps engineering, data platform expertise, and AWS cloud services to build and deliver enterprise-grade solutions. You'll play a key part in ensuring zero-downtime deployments, robust CI/CD pipelines, scalable data workflows, and secure big data environments.

What you'll do:

  • Build, and optimise large-scale data platforms on AWS leveraging Redshift, Glue, S3, and related services.
  • Develop and manage zero-downtime deployment processes and streamline CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data workflows.
  • Orchestrate data pipelines using Airflow, Spark, and Kubernetes/EKS, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Argo, and automation tooling.
  • Enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response processes to maintain high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers to uplift resilience, scalability, and automation across platforms.

What you'll have:

  • Strong experience in AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Data Services) including Redshift, Glue, and S3.
  • Proven hands-on experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS in production environments.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo) and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and security best practices in large enterprises.
  • Clear communicator and effective team player able to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
