Role Overview:

Reporting to our Senior Surveyor and as a member of our Technical Services team this is a great opportunity to grow your skills, experience and add operational value.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing regular surveys of the mining areas to support mine planning and production activities
  • Keep mine digital models up-to-date with current workings;
  • Ensure mark up of drill rings to enable continuous cycle of drilling to occur;
  • Conducting underground CMS, Hovermap Scans for as-mined production void models, production reconciliation and mining records
  • Producing and maintaining survey plans including survey instructions (memos), end of month surveys, dig permits and emergency escape & rescue plans
  • Undertaking and assisting with survey control establishment & extension in accordance with ICSM SP1 V1.7
  • Ensure all survey duties are carried out to conform with the Work Health and Safety (Mine and Petroleum Sites) Act & Regulations as well as the Surveying and Spatial Information Act and Regulations
  • Maintaining survey equipment including cleaning and inspections, performing regular calibrations and equipment adjustment
  • Engage in project work to optimise mining efficiencies and the provision of general surveying services to the site as required
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including all employees, managers and customers.
  • Work independently and with the team to ensure collective and individual goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Comply with Company objectives, policies, procedures, safe work practices, relevant Acts and Regulations
  • Complete associated documentation including; purchase orders, WPIs, pre-starts, JSEAs and risk assessments

What you Bring:

We are looking of a motivated surveyor looking to use and develop your skills with a changing and growing operation and team.

Including:

  • Tertiary or Technical Qualification in Surveying or Spatial Information or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with survey instruments, processes and software
  • Experience in underground hard rock mining is desirable
