Assistant in Nursing (AIN) – Lismore NSW

Casual / Part-Time | Approximately 3 Hours per Day

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to provide professional in-home support to a client located in Lismore, NSW.

This role is ideal for an experienced AIN who is confident with insulin administration and BGL monitoring, and who takes pride in delivering attentive, high-quality care.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for performing daily BGL checks and insulin administration at scheduled times, along with providing respectful personal and health support.

Shift Details:

  • Approximately 3 hours per day
  • Flexible schedule to align with the following routine:
  • BGL check at 6:30am for insulin at 7:45am (regular insulin)
  • BGL check at 11:00am for insulin at 11:45am (rapid/sliding insulin)
  • BGL check at 4:00pm for insulin at 4:45pm (rapid/sliding insulin)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform BGL checks and administer insulin in accordance with clinical guidance
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Provide professional, person-centred support
  • Communicate effectively with the broader care team as needed

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Assistant in Nursing qualification
  • Experience with diabetes management and insulin administration (essential)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • COVID-19 vaccination (in line with health regulations)
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

Location: Lismore, NSW

Start Date: Immediate

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
