The Opportunity

Cannon Hill Anglican College is seeking to appoint an Assistant Campus Minister to join our Primary Team. The appointee will provide leadership in the planning and delivery of chapel services and special liturgical events within the primary campus. They will also contribute to the resourcing of the Primary Life and Faith curriculum.

The successful applicant will support and promote the Anglican identify of the College by modelling Christian values, contributing to the spiritual life of the school, and upholding the College's ethos and the teaching and practices of the Anglican Church in daily school life.

This important role within the College will work closely with the College Chaplain and Director of Mission and Primary Leadership team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Ability to apply an understanding of the stages of moral and faith development in children to design and lead engaging, age-appropriate liturgical services for students in Prep, Years 1–2, 3–4, and 5–6.
  • Possess a foundational knowledge of both the Old and New Testaments by connecting biblical and Life and Faith curriculum themes to chapel services and support teachers in resourcing Life and Faith programs.
  • Support the Anglican identity of the College through a clear understanding of Anglican ethos, teachings and practice and actively contribute to the faith life of the school community
  • Assist in the preparation and leadership of special liturgical events, prayer services, and seasonal celebrations that are spiritually enriching.
  • Model and promote the College's values in interactions with students, staff, and families, contributing to a nurturing and faith-filled learning environment
  • Demonstrate sensitively to the pastoral needs of children, using developmentally appropriate approaches that foster wellbeing and spiritual growth.
