About the role
Our Little Hearts Paediatric Cardiology is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Admin/Clerical Staff to join our team in our Montgomery Street, Kogarah location. This part-time opportunity is an integral part of our healthcare organisation, providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth running of our paediatric cardiology practice.
Part-time position working 20-25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What you'll be doing
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently and holistically whilst maintaining professionalism with families.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and patient documentation, and management of patient correspondence.
- Assisting with medical billing and insurance claims processing
- Organising and coordinating internal and external communications
- Providing general administrative support to the clinical team
- Ensure that the clinic including the staff and clinic areas remain tidy - specifically is clean, tidy and patient friendly.
- Responsible for ordering practice stationary and other medical and clinical supplies.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a medical or healthcare administrative role
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a medical or healthcare administrative role
- Understand and practice person-centred care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathise with patients
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and data entry
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Actively participate in quality improvement activities.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including experience in Microsoft Office and other relevant practice software.
- Experience with Medical Director, Best Practice, or similar practice management software essential
- Must have full working rights in Australia
