YOUR ROLE

The Team Leader, Behaviour Support Programs will support the development and implementation of sector, school and student level Student Behaviour Support programs and initiatives across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. This role will oversee and coordinate the work of the implementation of Positive Behavior for Learning and Team Teach programs including co-ordination of both initiatives, liaison with key stakeholders and the development of initiatives and resources to support the evaluation and implementation of both programs.

The successful candidate can commence ASAP or in January 2026.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Student Behaviour Support, to lead the team, including members based in regional offices. providing professional guidance, contributing to strategic planning, overseeing work output, managing performance, supporting professional development and managing escalated cases
  • Support and develop systems and resources for the implementation of behaviour programs including and Team Teach in partnership with external providers
  • Managing the Team Teach implementation process, including expressions of interest, assigning trainers and communication
  • Manage the implementation of the PBL program including liaison with stakeholders, design, review and development of resources and processes.
  • Provide leadership and support to the PBL team
  • Review and develop processes to embed Team Teach in schools
  • Work collaboratively with the other leads in Student Engagement, policy officers and Student Engagement leadership team

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership including leading whole school student behaviour programs at a school or system level
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in the implementation of PBL within a school
  • Sound understanding of the relevant policies and priorities, Government directions, statutory requirements, and research evidence related to student mental health
  • Familiarity with Team Teach and programs
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with team members to design effective, evidence informed strategies and professional learning to strengthen practice, drive improvement, and contribute to advancing agreed outcomes/goals.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to use these to engage with stakeholders.
