The Role – Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join MSC Australia in a key role supporting Employees, Managers and the HR Team. This permanent full-time position reports to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, and is part of the National Human Resources Department based in our Fremantle Head Office.

The newly designed Human Resources Coordinator position will be responsible for the coordination of human resources activities and programs related to recruitment and talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, learning and development, HR systems, and employee engagement. Ensuring the employee experience, legislative compliance, and HR best practice is front of mind.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the employee experience, be focused on continuous improvement, proactive in problem-solving, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the full recruitment process, including working closely with hiring Managers on requirements, ensuring correct documentation and approvals, recruitment advertising, shortlisting of applicants, pre-employment checks, etc.
  • Coordination and standardisation of employee onboarding, offboarding, and related activities.
  • Creation of employment contracts, contract variations, and related documents.
  • Provide assistance, support, and guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to and/or lead HR projects as required.
  • Contribute to national HR Strategy, and assist in compliance with global strategy.
  • Coordination of local, national and global learning and development initiatives.
  • Maintaining required HR trackers and registers to contribute to HR data analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining HR systems, and ensuring data accuracy in and across systems.
  • Coordination of employee benefits, rewards, and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within Human Resources.
  • Qualification/s in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Training, Psychology, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Professional membership of the Australian Human Resource Institution (AHRI) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in delivering group training is desirable.
  • Experience with competing priorities and tight schedules.
  • Passion for enhancing the employee experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
