
Property and Leasing Officer

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support the Chief Financial Officer, Operations Manager and the property team to manage all aspects of Clinpath property leases, records and property administration. This role is accountable for property compliance, reporting and lease management. This position is not the typical residential/commercial property role or customer facing role. Some out of office work will be required. This role will suit a person who has demonstrated administrative experience working in commercial property business with experience managing commercial property leases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the preparation of Property Leases, Extensions and Renewals across a portfolio of approximately 180 commercial properties;
- Engage with internal and external parties to fulfil leasing requirements;
- Manage the internal Property Management System database;
- Manage the Approved Collection Centre licencing process and compliance obligations with the Health Insurance Act (1973);
- Maintain, report and analyse property rents and outgoings;
- Maintain the property BI performance tool and liaise with relevant departments to ensure its updated and accurate;
- Prepare and present business cases for new and current properties;
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to patients, fellow employees, business or other details pertaining to the operations of Clinpath Laboratories;
- Contribute to continual improvement within the department and Clinpath in general by volunteering new ideas and embracing changes;
- Ensure effective teamwork within Clinpath by encouraging open discussion, problem solving and information dissemination;
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current policies and procedures and keep abreast with memos and other communications relevant to the work place;
- Positively and constructively represent Clinpath Laboratories to external contacts at all opportunities; and
- Other adoc property reporting requirements as requested by the Chief Financial Officer.
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with strong grounding working in commercial property business or with commercial property leases;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with advanced Excel skills with high level of attention to detail;
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees across the organisation;
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work autonomously and independently as required;
- The ability to be well organised, reliable and able to demonstrate a positive and professional attitude;
- A current unencumbered Australian Driver's License with the willingness to travel using a company vehicle.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of the IFRS16 accounting standard;
- Knowledge of Health Insurance Act (1973);
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or related discipline
