HVAC Apprentice - 1st Year

THE ROLE

Our HVAC Service Department is seeking a motivated 1st-year Apprentice to join our team and grow with us. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from seasoned professionals, and become an integral part of a supportive and skilled crew

You will participate and assist in all aspects of the servicing and maintenance of various types of Air Conditioning, Mechanical and Refrigeration Equipment / Systems.

Importantly, you will observe and maintain Work Health Safety, Quality & Environmental compliance in all aspects of your work.

To be successful, you will need to be committed to completing Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or similar. Applicants in the second year and beyond should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in basic servicing and repairs that reflect the stage in their apprenticeship.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, be self-driven, and have a genuine interest in developing a career in the HVAC industry.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be committed to the four-year Apprenticeship
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Be prepared to gain a driver's licence during the period of the apprenticeship
  • Good communication and problem-solving ability
  • Capable of following instructions with an eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Have completed CareerGate 3 – General Aptitude Assessment recommended.
  • Registered with TAFE undertaking Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Electrotechnology, an advantage.
  • Demonstrated industry experience and knowledge, an advantage.
