The Role:

As Trading Director at Foxcatcher, you will lead and oversee the full trading function—driving strategic direction, optimising processes, and fostering team growth. This is a true player-coach role, where you'll balance hands-on programmatic trading and campaign delivery with mentoring, supporting, and developing the next generation of traders. You'll guide the team in executing high-impact programmatic campaigns while championing innovation and ensuring excellence across all trading activities. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, deep expertise in digital media, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

Manage and mentor a team of Trading Managers and Executives, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth. Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the team meets performance goals and develops expertise in programmatic trading
- Vendor Onboarding and Management:

Oversee the onboarding of new vendors and manage existing vendor relationships to ensure the best rates, terms, and performance. Negotiate contracts and partnerships to enhance the company's trading capabilities
- Trading Process Optimization:

Develop and refine trading processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and outcomes. Implement best practices and ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies
- Supply Management:

Liaising with media owners and onboarding inventory as required
- Campaign Support:

Support the team in implementing and monitoring campaign performance to ensure we meet client objectives, ensuring optimizations and recommendations are implemented as necessary.
- Platform and Campaign Audits:

Conduct regular platform audits to ensure compliance with trading strategies and performance standards. Oversee overarching campaign audits to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
- Financial/Billing Management:

Work closely with the finance team to manage billing processes, ensure accurate invoicing.
- Development of Case Studies

: Lead the creation of case studies that showcase successful campaigns, highlight innovative strategies, and demonstrate the value of Foxcatcher's trading capabilities. Collaborate with marketing and client teams to ensure case studies are impactful and relevant
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, providing strategic advice, overseeing brief responses, and ensuring client satisfaction. Facilitate high-level discussions with stakeholders to align on goals and strategies
- Innovation and Strategic Initiatives:

Drive the exploration and adoption of new technologies, platforms, and methodologies to enhance trading performance. Lead strategic initiatives that position Foxcatcher as a leader in the digital marketing landscape
- Product Development Support

: Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Foxcatcher's proprietary products (e.g., WorldView, FoxID) by providing input on feature development, participating in testing phases, and analysing performance to ensure solutions deliver client value.

Qualifications, Work Experience and skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital media and programmatic trading, with a proven track record of managing large-scale trading operations and leading high-performing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple programmatic platforms (e.g., Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr) and advanced trading techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth and client success.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience managing and developing talent.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing processes and improving performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing and engaging with senior clients and stakeholders.

Role Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Team Performance and Development:

Achievement of team goals and KPIs, demonstrated through high levels of team engagement, retention, and development of junior staff into leadership roles.
- Vendor Performance and Cost Efficiency:

Successful negotiation and management of vendor contracts, resulting in optimal rates and terms. Demonstrated cost savings and improved vendor performance metrics.
- Audit Compliance and Effectiveness:

Completion of regular platform and campaign audits with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and performance improvement. Identification and implementation of corrective actions.
- Financial Accuracy:

Accuracy of billing and invoicing processes
- Case Study Development and Impact:

Creation of impactful case studies that effectively demonstrate the value of Foxcatcher's trading services and contribute to business development efforts.
- Client Satisfaction and Retention:

High levels of client satisfaction, evidenced by positive feedback, account retention, and growth in client spend. Effective management of client relationships at a strategic level.
- Innovation and Strategic Leadership:

Successful implementation of new trading technologies and methodologies, demonstrating Foxcatcher's position as a leader in the digital marketing space. Contribution to the development of new services and offerings.
