We are looking for an Environmental Services Assistant to join our friendly team

The Opportunity

You will be joining a vibrant team, providing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness through all areas of the hospital, in-line with infection control guidelines.

Working closely with supportive teammates, you will use a range of equipment and take pride in your own cleaning responsibilities to ensure the team reaches the goals and objectives of each shift.

In this fast-paced role, you will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Environmental Services team and thrive in a role where you can make a positive contribution to those around you.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have previous cleaning experience in a hospital and theatre setting, delivering a high standard of customer service, all in line with our View Extraspect core values.

You will also bring:

  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Proven experience with hazard identification
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to commence at short notice 7 days a week to cover mornings, afternoon and evening shifts.
  • Experience in health care industry (Desirable)
  • Experience in a previous housekeeping role (Desirable)

Remuneration

On offer is case hourly rate of $ superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

It is conveniently located directly opposite Sutherland Public Hospital and close to public transport. View Extraspect is an acute Medical/Surgical facility including orthopaedic, gynaecological and obstetric services and Rehabilitation. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.95 – $28.00 per hour
