Position Overview:

The Construction Estimator is responsible for estimating materials and labor, making sure that the business operates within budget.

A successful candidate:

  • Prepares and delivers estimates and cost plans for the construction of patios, pergolas, and other structures.
  • Interprets plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Calculates project costs and estimates timeframes for completion of construction activities.
  • Takes accurate measurements and collects on-site data to support project planning and estimation.
  • Performs routine computations related to materials, labor, and project requirements.
  • Inspects work and materials on-site to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Supervises and oversees trades workers on-site, ensuring compliant demolition of old structures and proper installation of new ones.
  • Ensures construction and renovation activities are carried out in a manner that keeps the project within the approved budget.
  • May demonstrate installation and construction techniques on-site to reduce wastage of materials and hours of work.

Required Qualifications:

Degree, Associate Degree or Diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation, preferably with a focus on patio or outdoor structures.

Pay: $74,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
