Overview
We are looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Support & Network Technician to join a fast-paced, client-focused team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong troubleshooting mindset, broad technical exposure, and a desire to continue learning and growing in a dynamic environment.

You will provide both remote and on-site support across a range of systems, working with clients to resolve technical issues while also contributing to the stability and evolution of their IT infrastructure. While this role involves standard IT support tasks, there is a strong emphasis on
networking
—ideal for someone with a background in environments such as Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support across hardware, software, and network environments
  • Configure and commission new equipment, software, and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through structured processes
  • Monitor systems and roll out updates or patches as required
  • Perform scheduled client site visits for installation, diagnosis, and support
  • Respond to client requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and updates clearly
  • Escalate complex issues when appropriate while maintaining end-to-end responsibility for the ticket lifecycle
  • Contribute to internal and client-facing documentation and knowledge bases
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and service records

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support or troubleshooting environment
  • Strong networking knowledge – experience with routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Broad technical exposure across systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologies
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and systems quickly
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting steps while thinking independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, customer-first mindset with attention to detail and accountability
  • Previous experience in an MSP or similar environment (highly desirable)
  • Legal right to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted work visa)

Technical Experience (Preferred)

  • Microsoft 365
  • Networking (Cisco routing & switching, VPN)
  • Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10/11
  • Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Virtualisation – VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Backup & recovery – Veeam
  • Linux administration
  • Apple macOS support
  • Monitoring tools – CheckMK, Observium, Zabbix

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to attend the office at least 3 days per week (non-negotiable)
  • Must hold a valid Australian driver's licence and have reliable personal transport for travel to client sites when needed
