About the role

As a Diesel Mechanic with City Crane Trucks' in Gepps Cross, SA, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our trucks remain in peak operating condition, enabling us to provide reliable service to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting scheduled servicing and inspections on our diesel-powered trucks and equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimise breakdowns and maximise vehicle uptime
  • Documenting all work completed and maintaining detailed records
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely resolution of vehicle issues
  • Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or a related trade
  • Extensive experience (3+ years) working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the transport or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment
