About the Role:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deli Team Member to join our friendly, fast-paced team in a busy, family-run grocery store located in Roselands. As part of our deli department, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring our fresh food offerings are presented at their best every day.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli meats, cheeses, olives, and specialty items.
  • Operating deli equipment, including slicers and scales, safely and efficiently.
  • Keeping your work area clean, well-organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Rotating stock to ensure product freshness.
  • Providing warm, helpful, and knowledgeable customer service at the deli counter.
  • Ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and accurately labeled.
  • Collaborating with your teammates to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a deli, food service, or grocery environment (required).
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy, customer-facing setting.
  • Attention to detail and a genuine passion for food presentation and quality.

Bonus:

  • Greek language skills are highly valued but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a family-run or independent grocery store is a plus.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50 – $28.00 per hour
