Come and join us as a room leader in the Baby Room at Discovery Cove ELC. You'll play a vital role in shaping the next generation as you lead and guide other educators to create an engaging environment for 6 week to 1.5 year olds. Discovery Cove ELC is a supportive team that will help you grow in your own educational practice, with a high quality program and close collaboration with our other team leaders.

What you will do in this role?

  • Help to develop and run a program for our baby room in an inclusive, child-focused environment.
  • Work closely together with other educators in your room, and across the centre, to achieve goals.
  • Work with our families, and our community, to promote the best practices in customer service in an early learning centre environment.
  • Be someone that other educators can look up to and learn from.
  • Ensure legal compliance and uphold child safety standards, including mandatory reporting obligations.

What are we looking for?

  • Preferred previous experience in a room leader role in an early childhood education setting.
  • Diploma would be highly regarded, but working towards or Cert 3 may be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to guide and inspire educators, build team cohesion, and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Experience in developing or implementing a program in a team.
  • A person who is adaptive, pro-active and solution focused.
  • Personable and demonstrated experience communicating with families and other key stakeholders.
  • A commitment to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities.
