ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Business Planning & Analysis Manager, the Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting site teams by providing guidance on financial systems and processes, tracking costs, performing variance analysis, and ensuring accurate monitoring of both capital (Capex) and operational (Opex) project costs.

You will also assist with audit processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and actively promote safety and continuous improvement across all financial activities.

To be successful, you will have:

·       Bachelor of Accounting or Commerce with a Major in Accounting or Finance.

·       CA or CPA qualification (essential), with a minimum of 5 years'

·       Current "C" Class Western Australian driver's license.

·       Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in project-based roles and/or the mining industry, with a broad range of accounting skills.

·       Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis.

·       Proven experience in monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project costs and working with both Capex and Opex budgets.

·       Proficiency in Pronto and advanced Excel skills.

·       Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and clearly communicate financial data.

·       Excellent attention to detail and the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner.

·       Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to keep project teams on track.

·       Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration across all levels of the business.
