Adelaide, South Australia The University of Adelaide Full time $82,922 - $92,409 per year

(HEO5) $82,922 to $92,209 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term fulltime position for 2 years

Join a world-leading team investigating a groundbreaking question: do sperm actively influence female reproductive success?

Our research aims to uncover how sperm signalling shapes the female immune system and fertility - challenging long-held assumptions about conception. The findings could transform fertility diagnostics and improve reproductive health.

Working within Robinson Research Institute - a global leader in reproductive health research, and reporting to Dr David Sharkey, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to research that could redefine the role of sperm in reproduction and lead to new diagnostic tools for male fertility.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
  • Knowledge and experience in a relevant area of biomedical science in a laboratory research setting including immunology, reproductive medicine and/or reproductive biology.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct experiments in relevant area/s of biomedical science, to a high level of quality, rigour and dependability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the ethical and practical management of human clinical research and ability to conduct experiments using human tissue samples and biological fluids.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to organize and manage laboratory records.
