Autopak-Vetlab is an Australian-owned manufacturer of agricultural and animal health products based in St Marys, Western Sydney. We are looking for an experienced Chemist to join our busy laboratory.

The Chemist will be part of a team responsible for all Quality Control testing, technical support to business operations and analytical method development and validation.

Experience with LC/MS testing is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run contaminant screening testing daily via LC/MS testing, ensuring timely reporting of results to production.
  • Ensure LC/MS instrument is well maintained and calibrated.
  • Undertake testing of finished goods and in-process controls.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for new product introductions as per project time-lines.
  • Author method validation protocols and reports as needed.
  • Maintain QC records in accordance with company requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve where appropriate – laboratory related deviations and equipment breakdown.

Skills/Experience:

  • Tertiary degree in Chemistry or science discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a QC Chemist in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
  • Significant expertise in LC/MS testing required.
  • Experience working with HPLC and AAS instruments.
  • Ability to communicate with effective oral, written and interpersonal skills.
