Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel's capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will report to the Program Construction Manager - Landside

You will supervise third-party coordinators and monitor construction intefaces, safety, and quality.

You will monitor that the contractor is compliant with project policies, procedures, site rules and procedures, and that all stakeholders are informed of any interface issues or risks .

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision

• Engage proactively with field engineers / third-party coordinators development through competency development/assessment and feedback.

Planning / Productivity

• Coordinate with design and contracts team on constructability issues.
• Monitor, manage and coordinate the integration of the works carried out by different project stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and manage a process to ensure the Project Contractors and stakeholders provide the information required to manage the interfaces.
• Keep the Project Contractors, stakeholders and other relevant parties informed of the timing and nature of any proposed or planned works.
• Oversee the management of key construction interfaces amongst stakeholders.

Safety & Quality

• Monitor contractor compliance with safety reequirements and encourage contractors to perform in a safe manner.
• Monitor work activities and the quality of work performed by the contractor.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in the successful management of major projects in the infrastructure and/or building industry.
• Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction.
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable delivery of leadership and behavioural change within a large organisation and with outside organizations.
• Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness.
• Prior delivery partner or client-side project management experience is preferred but not essential.
