Overview of the Role
The MBA Course Coordinator is responsible for the academic leadership, quality assurance, and effective delivery of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Edvantage Institute Australia (EIA). This role ensures that the MBA program meets TEQSA requirements, aligns with EIA's strategic vision, and provides an exceptional learning experience for students. The Course Coordinator will also contribute to curriculum development, student support, and staff mentoring, while liaising with industry and academic stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Program Management
- Provide academic oversight of the MBA curriculum, ensuring compliance with TEQSA, CRICOS, and internal quality assurance frameworks.
- Lead the delivery of core and specialisation units across the MBA program, ensuring alignment with graduate outcomes.
- Coordinate teaching teams, manage unit allocation, and support academic staff development.
- Monitor and review student performance and progression, implementing improvement strategies where necessary.
Curriculum Development
- Oversee the continuous improvement of MBA curriculum, incorporating industry trends, academic research, and student feedback.
- Ensure specialisation offerings are current, relevant, and in demand by industry.
- Maintain alignment between MBA core units and specialisation units to ensure coherent program design.
Teaching & Learning
- Teach in one or more MBA units, as required.
- Support innovative teaching practices, including interactive and practical learning activities.
- Ensure the integration of academic theory with real-world application through case studies, projects, and industry engagement.

- Ensure unit guides, assessment tasks, and marking rubrics meet academic standards.
- Monitor and report on student feedback, progression rates, and completion rates.
Student Engagement & Support
- Provide academic advice, mentoring, and support to MBA students.
- Address student concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Organise guest lectures, industry panels, and networking events.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure MBA program relevance.
- Engage with alumni to enhance program reputation and networking opportunities.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- A doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in business, management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated academic leadership and curriculum management experience.
- Proven teaching excellence in business administration or related fields.
- Strong understanding of TEQSA and higher education compliance requirements.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, research, and industry engagement.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching MBA-level students in multiple specialisations.
- Professional experience in senior business, management, or consulting roles.
- Industry connections relevant to MBA fields.
