The Digital Product Risk Manager and play an essential partnering role in supporting Bupa's Customer & Transformation Office and Technology teams to identify, develop, and bring to life best in class Digital Products that redefine how we engage and support our customers, patients, and residents. Reporting to the Data & AI Risk Manager, this permanent position is offered as hybrid with flexible working, located in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical risk advice to digital product teams, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of digital products in line with organisational strategy, regulatory requirements and customer needs.
  • Drive outcomes by working with cross-functional teams to ensure a full-360 understanding of potential risks associated with the delivery of Digital Products.
  • Ensure compliance with health, privacy, and data protection regulations (e.g. Privacy Act) through proactive integration into product design and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks to establish clear accountabilities and risk controls throughout digital product development.
  • Influence and support stakeholders to drive risk-aware decision-making aligned with customer needs, Bupa's values, and best practice, including emerging risks.

What do I need?

We're looking for someone with approximately 7+ years of experience in delivering or managing digital products, technology solutions, or digital projects. You'll have a proven ability to drive the safe and efficient delivery of complex digital initiatives, from ideation to launch, while expertly managing digital risks across the product lifecycle. Your deep understanding of best practices and risk management will be crucial to ensuring successful outcomes.

In addition, you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor in a Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional knowledge in the product lifecycle, key risks that can manifest, and best practice approaches for managing potential risks.
  • Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements applicable to Private Health Insurance and Health Services.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative working style, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to keep pace with emerging technology and key trends.
