The role 

We're looking for a Senior Industrial Designer with strong lighting experience to lead the end-to-end design of a new product range. You'll bring lighting integration into the heart of our design process, owning concepts from early ideation and prototyping through to supplier-ready production specs.

This is an exciting opportunity to run your own creative division and bring all your ideas to completion and develop a signature range of products that will be loved by our customers across Australia. Your range will be fully supported by the design and marketing team as required, to ensure its success.

This role suits someone who is hands-on, commercially aware, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two projects look the same.

What you'll do

• Design and develop innovative outdoor products with integrated lighting

• Take concepts from sketches and 3D models through to high-quality prototypes and final production

• Conduct basic photometric studies and lighting simulations to support design decisions

• Opportunities to travel across Asia-Pacific to collaborate and build strong relationships with suppliers, learn manufacturing techniques and develop new innovations

• Research new materials, technologies, and outdoor lighting compliance (AS/NZS) to ensure our products lead the market

• Collaborate with marketing and leadership to ensure product designs align with brand and customer needs

• Present concepts and solutions through compelling visuals, prototypes and documentation

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' experience as an Industrial/Product Designer, with a focus on AC or DC lighting

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience developing & sourcing products with manufacturing partners

• In depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques (injection moulding, die casting, CNC, etc.)

• Practical understanding of production processes and the foresight to identify and resolve production issues

• Demonstrated experience in lighting simulations and photometric performance considerations

• Strong understanding of AS/NZS lighting compliance standards and best practice design for outdoor environments

• Creative thinker who can balance aesthetic, technical and functional product requirements

• Knowledge of Mandarin is not essential, but a bonus
