Social worker, Advanced, Queensland Health

As the Social Worker, you will deliver specialist-level expertise in discipline-specific and specialist child development services for children and their families as part of a multi-disciplinary Child Development Service team across multiple sites of a designated Service Area while also leading service-wide and contribute at a State-wide level to discipline and specialist child development knowledge and practice.

About the Team

The Child Development Service teams provide a family-centred, specialist public health service for children who have complex developmental and behavioural concerns. The teams provide multidisciplinary clinical services and consultancy/advice to support a comprehensive understanding of the child's developmental profile and how this relates to their functioning and participation in everyday life.  Teams use a strengths-based, partnership approach to enable families, key stakeholders and community providers to best support the child's optimal development, health and wellbeing across the life course.

About the Role

In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

• Independently delivering social work and specialist child development clinical services as evidenced by specialist-level knowledge, clinical skills and expertise in complex contemporary child development clinical practice standards aligned with organisational and CDP clinical standards, practices and governance.
• Utilising specialist skills, knowledge and evidence-based practice to facilitate novel, complex, critical clinical decisions to optimise the health and wellbeing of children by supporting their participation and engagement in the activities of their everyday life.
