Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled
Mainframe Assembler Engineer
with expertise in
Connex on IBM Mainframe and Switch technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising mainframe applications and systems using Assembler language. Additionally, the candidate will leverage their
Connex
and
Switch
experience to ensure seamless integration and communication between mainframe systems and modern platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications and systems using Assembler language.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Enhance and maintain existing mainframe applications to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement Connex on IBM MF and Switch configurations to enable secure and efficient communication between mainframe systems and external platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe applications, Connex, and Switch configurations.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimisation to ensure code quality and system efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to mainframe development, Connex, and Switch. Qualifications: ¿ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mainframe Assembler Engineer, with strong proficiency in Assembler language programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Connex and Switch technologies, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with mainframe environments, databases, and tools (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of IT experience and minimum 3 plus experience in ¿Connex on IBM¿ and payments domain
