About The Role

The Sydney Steel Mill facilities are key assets in the Infrabuild business that provide steel products to internal Reinforcing and Wire manufacturing facilities. The Technical Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for conducting training needs analysis, building and coordinating training plans, developing technical courses, delivering training, assessing competence, and administering courses/assessments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct regular training needs analysis to determine training needs.
  • Identify, plan and schedule training sessions to cover Steel Mill personnel.
  • Delivery of workplace training assessing competence and administering courses/assessments
  • Ensure InfraBuild compliance training is conducted as per company requirements

You are hands-on and adaptable and ideally have practical experience in a similar on-site role within a heavy industry environment. You have a strong attention to detail, are a natural people person and have an understanding of high-risk licences and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessing
  • Experienced in developing and facilitating training material in small groups.
  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • High level of computer literacy including MS Word and Excel
