Due to growing numbers in enrollments, we are looking for trainers in
**Diploma of Nursing. **We have
**consistent** work for suitable trainers and assessors in our Melbourne CBD Training & Lab rooms
**. **Classes run from 9:00am - 4:00pm (Currently looking for trainers on Monday and Thursday), the successful applicant must be available during these times.
EmployEase provide all session plans, powerpoints and assessment guides. The successful applicant will bring enthusiasm to the classroom and have a desire to see their students succeed.
**Position Summary**
Trainers and assessors are responsible for the delivery of accredited quality education and training, and for conducting assessments in line with the requirements of the Training Package, the Standards for RTO’s 2015, funding requirements and EmployEase policies and procedures. The Trainer and Assessor is responsible for the development of innovative learning activities.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Deliver training as per EmployEase Training and Assessment Strategies
- Relevant and current nursing experience, with an understanding of theory and practice in an Australian context
- Provide all training services in compliance with the requirements of the current VET Funding contract and Quality Charter
- Participate in and contribute to Validation and Moderation
- Support students to course completion
- Processing assessments and feedback as per EmployEase assessment and marking policy
- Ensure appropriate communication with students
- Support students with additional learning needs
- Participate in Meetings, activities, and networks relevant to the position
- Where appropriate communicate with stakeholders and obtain feedback on work placement
- Maintain skills and knowledge of current practice within relevant industry
- Undertake Professional Development relevant to role and industry
- Complete and maintain all training records accurately, document results and submit into Student management system
- In conjunction with the training manager or head of nursing, resolve any complaints or incidents in accordance with company grievance procedures, documenting incident and outcomes
- Report to and inform training manager or head of nursing regarding student welfare, student attendance and course progress.
**Administration**
- Maintain accurate student records
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Training Department and business
- Ensure own trainer records are complaint and up to date
- Mark all assessments within 2 weeks of student submission
- Undergo classroom observation by the Head of Nursing
- Maintain VET and Vocational competencies as required by registering body for each qualification delivered or assessed
- Attend regular trainer meetings
**Essential Selection Criteria**:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential
- A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education is advantageous
- Working currently as a registered nurse in the industry is essential
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification - Bachelor of nursing or above
- Current registration as a registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA)
- Must have a minimum of 2 days availability to train with Employease (Currently looking for trainers on Monday and Thursday)
- Ability to continue to develop their vocational and training and assessment competencies to maintain currency

- Deliver training and assist all students regardless of level to achieve their training goals
- Use teaching and assessment strategies that are fair, valid, current, and sufficient
- Maintain stakeholder, mentoring relationships with work placement coordinators
**Requirements**:
- A current valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A current Police Check. Police checks must be renewed every two (2) years.
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- COVID vaccination certificate
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience delivering community services courses
- Sound understanding of VET system
- Ability to communicate with, and support, a wide range of learners
