The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst - Technology and Transformation to join our Finance Corporate Partnering & Financial Control team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Partnering Manager - Technology & Transformation, you will play a critical part in supporting financial decision-making across APA's Technology & Transformation portfolio, providing meaningful insights, robust forecasting, and performance analysis.

You will be embedded within the business to influence strategic priorities and support the development and delivery of business improvement initiatives. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, data-driven environment and enjoys partnering with stakeholders to unlock value and drive better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver data-driven analysis to identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities; support strategic recommendations through modelling, benchmarking, and competitor analysis.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes; challenge assumptions and provide insight on performance drivers.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams to prepare monthly reports with clear commentary, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Support the shaping and evaluation of strategic initiatives, including assessment of benefits, risks, and expenditure.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and embed continuous improvement in financial workflows and systems.
  • Partner with a range of stakeholders to present clear financial insights, support performance reviews, and build strong relationships across operational and project teams.

About You
You are a commercially savvy senior analyst with experience supporting the business through data and insights. You enjoy solving problems, working with complex data, and influencing decision-making.

  • Strong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting within complex or asset-intensive organisations.
  • Advanced analytical and modelling skills, with experience using enterprise finance systems and tools.
  • Proven ability to drive budgeting and planning processes to completion within deadlines.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to improve accuracy, reporting, and value creation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
