UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business are seeking applications for a
Trades Assistant Person
to join our rail components overhaul team based at our facility in
Ballarat, Victoria
.

These roles will be offered as a permanent role paid under UGLs Ballarat Enterprise Agreement working a
9-day fortnight
with every 2nd Friday off

  • WK 1 - Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • WK 2 - Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm .

About The Role
Reporting into the Production Supervisors this role will see you working on various activities overhauling rail components according to specifications. Spread across a variety of light and heavy rail equipment ranging from heavy bogie overhaul to lighter fine tolerance equipment, you will complete a variety of tasks from disassembly, preparation to basic assembly.

About You
You will have previous experience within a heavy industry, and looking to enhance your skills working in a great team environment within the rail industry.

Other Key Skills And Experience Required Will Include

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Experience with operating overhead cranes or jib cranes
  • Forklift License
  • Heavy Rigid Truck license (an advantage)
  • Ability to work to a fast-paced production schedule
  • Good communication skills & excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
