Role Description
The Manager Future Energy Procurement is an exciting opportunity in our Supply Chain team based at our Perth Central Park office. This leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering integrated procurement strategies that enable Synergy's Future Energy business to achieve its strategic objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, the successful candidate will lead a high-performing team to drive commercial value, strengthen supplier relationships, and embed best-practice governance across complex categories.

With a focus on innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, this position plays a critical role in ensuring supply continuity and supporting enterprise initiatives such as sustainability, technology adoption, and procurement transformation. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver robust category strategies aligned with Future Energy business priorities and enterprise risk appetite.
  • Lead and empower the procurement team to achieve commercial negotiation outcomes, supplier performance management, and category governance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, proactively identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, reduce risk, and drive innovation.
  • Embed disciplined contract management practices to ensure cost control, supplier accountability, and risk mitigation across the Future Energy portfolio.
  • Champion procurement data quality and analytics to enable performance visibility and support strategic decision-making.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management, including leading high-performing teams.
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (CIPS certification desirable).
  • Strong capability in commercial negotiation, contract lifecycle management, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
