A great opportunity for a part-time optical dispenser/optical assistant has become available in my independent boutique practice.  As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the optometrist owner in a variety of tasks.

Established 26 years ago, we have built a reputation for providing excellent eyecare, and dispensing high-quality fashionable frames & sunglasses with personalised service.

The role involves the following:

  • Retail experience.  Frame and sunglass selection. You'll share our passion for beautiful and well-designed products.
  • Optical abilities.  Ordering lenses with online frame tracing.  Fitting lenses and adjusting frames, minor frame repairs.  Discussion and advice on all types of lenses.
  • Admin.  Using HICAPS and Medicare claiming, EFTPOS, in-house practice management systems, and contribution to social media posting.
  • Practice appearance.  Helping with window displays and keeping practice in tip-top appearance.

Candidate must have:

  • Self-motivation with the maturity and ability to work unsupervised at times.
  • A professional, friendly & personable disposition.
  • Limited experience is OK, a desire to learn is just as important as experience.
