Role Overview

Leathwood is seeking an experienced Bush Regeneration Team Leader – in our Landscape Maintenance division to join our growing team at Sydney Olympic Park, NSW to head our Bush Regen division and provide care and enhancement to the amazing flora and fauna that call Sydney Olympic Park home. This is a full-time position that will see you leading a Bush Regen team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a range of commercial landscape contracts.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and supervise a team of Apprentice's and Bush Regeneration enthusiast with daily efficiency and high-quality delivery of Bush Regeneration maintenance services
  • Operate plant and equipment such as a vehicle, trailer, and ride-on mowers etc.  Along with all necessary small equipment, efficiently & effectively
  • Chemical Certification III to comply with current Pesticide act 1999 and requirements of contract
  • Develop and implement schedules and work plans to meet client requirements within contracted scope and budgets
  • Complete noxious weed reporting and highlight effective eradication methods
  • Inspect properties and identify areas requiring improvements
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on landscape maintenance and bush regeneration methods
  • Ensure all work is completed to company and industry standards
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records and provide detailed reporting to management
  • Complete relevant documentation as required, i.e., Pre-start Checklists, WCF, Toolbox Meeting Minutes and recommendations for upgrades etc.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within in a landscape maintenance Bush Regeneration role
  • Strong working knowledge of horticulture, Bush regeneration, landscape design, Noxious weed control and maintenance techniques
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Motivated and reliable with a strong focus on operating safely whilst delivering quality outcomes
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and lead a team
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Current driver's licence and the ability to operate landscaping equipment, machinery and Manual drivers license
