, we are on the lookout for a Part Time or Full Time Team Leader to join our stellar Conference & Event Service team.

As Australia's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The hotel offers more than 3,700sq m of sleek meeting and event space in the heart of the city featuring two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour and 22 additional meeting rooms .

*The Role:*
A s our Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of all events by creating memorable experiences for our guests. Reporting to the Director of Event Service, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of colleagues working in the Event Service department.
Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with your Guests to provide the best possible service by anticipating their needs
  • Becoming the one point of contact for the Event host
  • Connecting and identifying Guests needs by asking the right questions and creating a rapport immediately
  • Manage high energy, fast-paced events operations that provides Guests with a dynamic and memorable experience
  • Assists Events Hosts and Guests in finding solutions that best meet their needs while using all available resources
  • Ability to plan, execute and manage events with minimum supervision

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a 5-star environment, either a large convention hotel or convention center in a similar role
  • Experience in working with weddings and large corporate events
  • Being enthusiastic, thoughtful, and a problem solver
  • Outgoing and inclusive personality
  • Hands on leadership style, with ability to support and motivate team
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Full Australian Working Rights and ability to work a 7-day rotating roster
  • A current RSA
