About the role

GPCP is looking for a motivated individual eager for a change and ready to tackle some hard work in the Construction Industry. This is a permanent position located in Sunshine North, Victoria 3020. The role will require you to be on a different commercial or residential site each day, providing an outdoor and hands-on experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating under guidance on Plant Equipment
  • Assisting the Plant Operator (with training opportunities available to become an Operator, if desired)
  • Collaborating daily in a two-person team
  • Showing initiative in the workplace
  • Adapting to scheduling requirements
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues

What we're looking for

  • NO previous experience in a construction or labouring role is required
  • Mechanically minded types
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Good physical fitness and stamina to handle physically demanding tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Valid construction industry induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable transportation to the yard base
