Anduril Australia is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations for our Maritime products (including Robot Submarines) and associated equipment, on behalf of our Customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and managing maintenance to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of our Maritime Assets. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-pressure environment. The successful candidate must be able to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and maintain a strong focus on safety and operational excellence in the Naval defence industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Recruit and manage a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople to maintain XL autonomous underwater vehicles.
- Establish forward operating facilities and infrastructure for the conduct of test and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules.
- Guide the development of maintenance documentation, including manuals, standard practices and parts catalogues (in a Tech. environment).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.
- Analyze maintenance data and key metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
- Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure availability of spare parts and materials.
- Liaise with Maritime customers, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders as required.
- Provide stakeholder input into root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Product Lifecycle Maintenance function to optimise the total lifecycle cost.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Suitable trade or engineering qualification.
- 7-10+ years of experience in maintenance management, in a high-tech industry.
- Proven experience in influencing and engaging customers.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and facilities.
- Experience with condition-based maintenance and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
