Ricaya is a progressive, fast-growing consultancy based in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast. We're looking for a motivated
Graduate Structural Engineer
eager to kick-start their career and grow with a dynamic team.

From day one, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of projects—from high-end architectural homes to multi-storey and commercial developments—while learning directly from experienced engineers and being supported in developing your technical and professional skills.

About the Role

As a
Graduate Structural Engineer
at Ricaya, you will:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems across residential and commercial projects.
  • Support the preparation of drawings, models, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with architects, builders, and consultants to deliver practical, buildable solutions.
  • Attend site visits and meetings to gain real-world project experience.
  • Learn from senior engineers and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment.
  • Develop your knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or nearing completion).
  • Strong interest in building structures, with a desire to learn about both residential and commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with structural design principles in concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Basic knowledge of industry software (RAM Concept, ETABS, SpaceGass, or similar) is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A genuine interest in developing your career within a forward-thinking consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with design calculations and modelling.
  • Contribute to documentation and drafting support.
  • Participate in project coordination and team discussions.
  • Gain experience in client and consultant interaction.
  • Support site inspections under supervision of senior staff.
