We're offering a rare opportunity to transition from engineering theory to practical aircraft maintenance through an apprenticeship. We are offering a pathway to becoming a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) (Avionics). With a solid foundation in Avionics, the candidate can use the knowledge they've gained to follow a path to become an avionics aerospace engineer under CASA.

About the Role

This position is designed for engineering graduates who want to become LAMEs (Avionics), and ultimately an avionics aerospace engineer under CASA. You'll begin your journey as an apprentice, working alongside experienced LAMEs while receiving on-the-job training and formal qualifications. Once a LAME (Avionics), the candidate has the opportunity to choose whether to continue as a LAME (Avionics), or change direction to follow the aerospace design path as an Avionics aerospace design engineer.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • Aircraft systems and structures
  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Regulatory compliance and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronics)
  • A genuine interest in aviation and aircraft maintenance
  • Willingness to commit to a multi-year apprenticeship pathway
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
