With continued growth across WA, the Resource & Industry (R&I) team have opened an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated mining infrastructure experience to deliver the technical outcome for a range of infrastructure projects from the Perth office.
What will a day in this role look like
- Collaborate with industry leaders and technical specialists whilst working as part of a dynamic and consultative team on major mining projects both across Australia and internationally.
- Actively participate in the preparation of technical reports and design documentation using your experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Work across all project phases from studies through to execution.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Work on challenging technical issues alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive
At a minimum, you'll need a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. The following experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
- Experience working for a consultancy or owner-side organisation with a solid understanding of Front End Loading approach to capital project delivery.
- Experience in the design and specification of mining, heavy industry, or infrastructure projects, particularly in areas like bulk materials handling and fluids handling systems and equipment.
- Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, reports and scope of works.
- Eager to learn and quickly pick up new engineering software to support project delivery.
- A collaborative approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally 2 - 6 years relevant / post-graduate experience.
