About the role

As a Crushing and Screening Machine Operator at CQM Quarry PTY LTD, you will play a vital role in the efficient and safe operation of our crushing and screening equipment. This is a casual position based in Childers, QLD 4660, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our crushing and screening machinery. Utilising your skills on a sales loader and production excavator, no two days will be the same.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate and monitor crushing and screening equipment to process raw materials into desired products. Predominantly operating the sales loader so a background in a similar role is highly desired
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Identify and report any issues or malfunctions with the equipment to the appropriate personnel
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Assist with the general upkeep and housekeeping of the quarry site

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Crushing and Screening Machine Operator or similar role in the construction or mining industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Valid driver's licence and machine RIIs
