The Opportunity

Due to increased demand, Matrix Steel is looking to appoint a full-time Truck Driver to join our Bundaberg Operations team. This role will primarily focus on delivering goods to our customers around Bundaberg and surrounding Sunshine Coast region. This position requires a hands-on person who is willing to operate our manufacturing machinery when delivery days are quiet.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 5AM TO 1PM.

Responsibilities
  • Review vehicle load sheets
  • Secure load, prepare manifest and assist loading when required
  • Deliver to customers and place onsite as required
  • Capture pictures of items delivered for POD
  • Maintain vehicle and driver logs
  • Liaise with despatch and customers on delivery issues and delays
  • Keep a clean truck at all times and ensure maintenance is up to date
  • Operate machinery as required
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment
About You
  • ESSENTIAL - HR License
  • ESSENTIAL - Forklift Ticket
  • DESIRABLE - Hiab Crane experience
  • Willingness to work local and regional runs
  • Flexibility and willingness to operate machinery - we will train you
  • Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers' needs
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Enjoys working autonomously and as part of a team
  • A passion to deliver excellent customer service
