Plant Operator

  • Location: Gundagai, NSW
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: 19th December 2025 (with strong potential for extension)
  • Pay Rate: $45.60 p/h + super + Allowances + Overtime
  • Hours: 8.5 hours/day, 76 hours per fortnight
  • Work Structure: 9-day fortnight | 90% camping away required

About the Role

This role involves extensive travel and camp-away work, with allowances paid for living away from home. You'll be working as part of a crew sealing highways, performing a mix of plant operation and hands-on manual labour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate rollers (multi-tyre) and assist on other plant equipment when required.
  • Work as part of the sealing crew, including setting/removing sticks and stops.
  • Perform manual handling tasks – bending, squatting, lifting, and other physical duties.
  • Adhere to strict safety and compliance standards while working on road projects.

Requirements

  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Workers on Foot (WOF)
  • MR Driver's Licence or above
  • Traffic Controller (TC) ticket
  • Experience operating rollers (multi-tyre essential)
  • Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling
  • Willingness to travel and camp away from home frequently (90% of the role)
  • Current Police Check (must be provided; commencement can occur prior to results being received)
