Job Opportunity: Citrus Farm- Machinery operator /farm hand
Location: Vitonga Farms, 8 minutes (9 km) North-West of Moree, NSW
About Us: Vitonga Farms is a leading agricultural operation known for its expansive citrus orchards and diverse crop production. We manage 280,000 drip-irrigated citrus trees and have significant harvests of barley and cotton. Our citrus products support our sister business, Grove Juice, which supplies major supermarkets and export markets in South-East Asia. With strong water and market stability, Vitonga Farms offers excellent job security and a collaborative work environment.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Operater to join our team. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively support a variety of farm projects, including machinery operations, light maintenance, and earthworks. The successful candidate will also contribute to enhancing Work Health Safety (WHS) practices and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, including performing minor services and repairs.
- Pruning, slashing, misting, skirting and general tree maintenance.
- Support and improve WHS practices on the farm.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

- Experienced Professional: Experience operating farm machinery or willingness to learn on the job.
- Detail-Oriented: Proficient in identifying and addressing minor issues before they escalate.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with others.
- Outdoor Enthusiast: Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Proactive Learner: Eager to gain new skills and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and own vehicle.
- Proven experience with farm machinery operations.
- Competency in fabrication and working with electric and hydraulic systems is highly regarded.
- Additional certifications such as Chem Cert, Forklift, Truck license are advantageous however not essential.
- Demonstrated focus on WHS, reliability, and strong work ethic.
