Mechanic - North West NSW

Staff360 is recruiting for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join the team on a large-scale farming operation in north-west NSW. This full-time role reports to the Workshop Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of farm and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and breakdown repairs on farm machinery, heavy vehicles, and pumps.
- Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and related systems.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and components according to technical specifications.
- Undertake welding, fabrication, and workshop-based repairs.
- Maintain service records and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements.
- Assist with workshop stock control and ordering of parts.
- Support and coach other team members where required.
Machinery & Equipment You will work across a broad fleet including:
- John Deere tractors & spray rigs
- Excavators, graders, trucks & trailers
- Farm utilities and light vehicles
- Pumps, small engines & irrigation equipment
- Planters, air seeders, spreaders, cultivation gear, chaser bins
Candidate Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with agricultural, diesel, or heavy machinery.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Current driver's licence essential.
