Staff360 is recruiting for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join the team on a large-scale farming operation in north-west NSW. This full-time role reports to the Workshop Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of farm and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and breakdown repairs on farm machinery, heavy vehicles, and pumps.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and related systems.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and components according to technical specifications.
  • Undertake welding, fabrication, and workshop-based repairs.
  • Maintain service records and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements.
  • Assist with workshop stock control and ordering of parts.
  • Support and coach other team members where required.

Machinery & Equipment You will work across a broad fleet including:

  • John Deere tractors & spray rigs
  • Excavators, graders, trucks & trailers
  • Farm utilities and light vehicles
  • Pumps, small engines & irrigation equipment
  • Planters, air seeders, spreaders, cultivation gear, chaser bins

Candidate Requirements

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with agricultural, diesel, or heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Current driver's licence essential.
