The Opportunity
A key role, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager leads the FP&A team of Finance Business Partners & Analysts. It is a group role that guides the financial strategy of the company through delivery of the 5-year plan, budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring consistency of reporting across the group operations including automation.

Key Duties Include
  • Lead and manage the FP&A function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Lead the reporting requirements across all business units and locations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Guide and oversee scoping of new reports and report changes with report owners, business partners & IT.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, and methodologies including automation.
  • Lead the business-wide financial budget & 5-year plan process, setting deliverables and schedules with timely, accurate results.
  • Provide concise analysis and commentary supported by appropriate detail.
  • Analyse financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Provide expert business partnering to the business and explain analysis to a diverse non-financial audience.
  • Develop and deliver financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
To Be Successful In This Role You Have
  • Degree qualification with CA/CPA ideal.
  • Background in a similar FP&A management role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Mining/heavy industry background (preferred).
  • Experience in automation and driving continuous improvement across an FP&A function.
  • Experience leading an FP&A or business partnering team.
  • Strong experience with Excel, modelling and dashboards.
  • Expert business partnering experience, including the ability to deliver financial and non-financial advice.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence a large stakeholder group across the business, including the executive team.
