The Role

Reporting to the Facility Operations
Coordinator and based in Windsor NSW. You will be responsible for the maintenance
and repair of Council buildings and properties, ensuring they are kept to a
high standard. A key part of your work will involve initiating and delivering
new areas of maintenance work and projects. You will also supervise and
coordinate both contractors and internal staff performing these varied
activities, making sure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to
specification.

About You

You are a proactive and experienced maintenance professional with
a strong background in building and property upkeep, specifically in a varied
trade environment. You possess the essential leadership skills to effectively
supervise both internal staff and external contractors, ensuring all work—from
new projects to routine repairs—is completed to a high standard. Your
commitment to safety, quality, and efficient project delivery makes you an
ideal candidate for managing the Council's critical building portfolio.

Essential Criteria

  • Trade certificate in Carpentry or similar
  • At least 5 years' experience in the building construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in work management
    systems, planning processes and work prioritisation
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in estimating building works and knowledge of the
    Building Code of Australia
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel and use of databases
  • Professional verbal and written communication
    skills
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • WHS General Construction Work in NSW
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Successful applicants will be required to
    undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
